Revit 2017 with V-Ray 3.4 via 3DS Max 2017 (Stereo Spheremap)

V-Ray 3.4 is unable to render sphere maps directly from Revit so the scene must be exported from Revit and the rendering done in 3DS Max.

These instructions are geared to people who are well versed in using Revit, 3ds Max, and V-Ray. These instructions are meant to help you optimize your workflow so that you can produce 360 stereo panoramas that work well with the Visual Vocal web portal and mobile VR application.

  1. From the main menu in Revit, choose R → Suite Workflows → 3DS Max Design Interior Rendering  or 3DS Max Design Exterior Rendering as appropriate for your scene.
  2. Change the settings as desired and then click the Run button.
  3. Click through the confirmation dialog and wait for the scene to open in 3DS Max.
